Archos is planning to launch its Internet Media Tablet’s new version. However, this time you would see a smartphone instead of traditional tablet.
Though enough details of the coming smartphone have not been released yet, the coming new Internet Media Tablet will serve as smartphone with their 3.5G built-in HSPA connectivity. However, it shows that Archos is trying to have a better and bigger approach to take on the iPhone.
The smartphone will still house media in its heart along with more than 500GB capacity and over 6 hour playback. It will also offer messaging and voice functionality as well.
The handset will be available with just 10mm thickness that suggests that it’s not likely to carry an SSD, so the whirling HDD to weigh some pounds there.
The phone will be powered with the OMAP3440 processor, which has been based on the ARM Cortex-A8 superscalar, so you would enjoy internet, as you find on your PC.
Archos CEO, Henri Crohas says in this connection that the company is proud to announce that it will soon launch an Android based smartphone.
