The company has also updated its well-known netbook line, as a thinner version of their Aspire One has also been that is less than one inch thick this time, but most the other features and specs are almost the same as you have seen in the previous 10” model.

Acer Aspire One (11.6-inch) was the other model that Acer launched at the event. It has 11.6-inch screen that can’t be reckoned as the widest screen on some netbook, as Dell’s Mini Insiprion has a 12” screen. Media centre series update

Aside from these netbooks, the company has also updated its 18-inch media centre dubbed as the Aspire 8935G. Acer seems to put some more thoughts to redesign the series, this redesign is quite evident their interiors, as you would find chiclet keyboard instead of traditional ones. The Aspire 3935G and Aspire 5935G are other smaller versions in their media center laptops.

eMachines series

With Pentium or Intel Celeron processors, 16:9 aspect ratio, added AMD Athlon option for G and E, wide keyboards, DVD drive, webcam and Wi-Fi and five-in-one card reader, Acer makes the eMachines series quite charming. The D (14-inch) and G (17-inch) models have half TB HDD and 4GB of RAM.

According to a report published in the Philippine Business Mirror says that Acer has confirmed that its Android-powered handset will be available this year.

The handset is expected to feature a touchscreen and it will be one of E1, F1, L1 and C1 handsets that have been announced last month. It seems to fit nicely in the roadmap that Acer has already provided in a recent event.

Philippine Business Mirror refused to name their source and that’s why one needs to take these rumors something more than just a rumor. But recently, Acer has refused to exclude Android in a previous event.

There are many big players of the cell phone industry who have pledged to be the part of Android party. Sony Ericsson, LG, Smasung and Motorola are some of these players. However, it seems that Samsung may appear as the first to come up with a true Android device.

According to some reports, HTC is going to debut its Magic from Vodafone by the end of May 09. So, Acer  be quick in your efforts if you really want to ride Android fanaticism wave that may overcome the entire mobile  world.

The F1 looks almost like an iPhone with a full touch screen but the QWERTY is not a slide out. Acer specified the phone’s details as a handset that allows easy multi tasking and provides high performance user interface with widgets.

It is designed in an attractive sleek and high end stylish design which makes it a great attraction for those who love easy to handle sets with style.

C1 will be available in an economical price, offers a full touch screen told as “easy to use touch screen smart phone with fast, simple, hassle-free browsing”. It is described as coming with GPS and stylus in enticing colors like lime green, white, and red.

The L1 is said to be sharply priced fairly, Aymar de Lencquesaing, Senior Corporate VP Acer told. It is a slider phone with GPS and touch screen. With a “user interface adaptable to user profile”, it has a soft- touch keypad with alpha numeric.

L1s will be coming in various different colors like silver with black finishes, white with black finishes and black with silver finishes. All of them will run on Windows Mobile 6.5, and will be having an aggressive price tag.

With their launch in September, their expected prices are F1 at 399 to 499 Euros, L1 249 to 299 Euros, and C1 at 149 to 249 Euros.

This new smartophone has been named as the Acer DX900 and it first emerges at the website of a UK based retailer Clove Technology.

The device looks a lot like the E-Ten Glofiish DX900 and has similar designs, looks as well as features that you have seen in the E-Ten, the only different you may find is brand name.

Another similarity is about price as it is being offered with the same price tag of $570.
