The first Eee was really a trendsetter in disposable computing, as there was nothing like it at that time.

It seemed to do everything that you really needed or could expect on your moves. After its release, we saw innumerable copycats and re-iterations that added little in real features and a lot in price.

They were not other makers alone as Asus itself brought many iterations of that masterpiece and the latest addition can be called a real addition in its Eee line. There is no apparent difference between the Asus 1000HE and its somewhat cheaper 1000H brand, except the battery life.

According to Asus, with its longer battery life, you can easily perform all your computing chores the whole day long without much fuss. Well, this whole day long computing is just a sort of marketing spin or real, it may depend on the way you use it.

It’s possible that you may be able to use for the whole day long, but with dark screen, off wireless capabilities and without the use of hard disk, CPU or memory in the end. If it is so, then what the use of boasted battery life and isn’t it better not to use at all instead of using it in such conditions.

However, on regular usage and frequent re-boosting during the day, it seemed to get over seven hours smooth running with odd video and even wireless use and in this run we found it as awesome as Samsung NC10.

Aside from improved battery life, the keyboard is another major change in the Asus Eee PC 1000. Its flat key and other features are quite similar to what we have seen in the MacBook.

The 1000HE features the N280 Atom processor again and has a 1024×600 resolution screen, all the latest Eees have been given up the SSD, so it has all the storage that you often require on your move.

If you are on budget and looking for a netbook that can go smartly with your whole day long computing chores, no option can be better than this one.

This new Eee Pc is a Dual Touchscreen Flipbook PC, which is likely to be appreciated worldwide.

This innovative idea from Asus is still in its early concept stage. It has not been announced yet when do the manufacturers plan to introduce it in the market. It is a Community Designed PC, possessing two touch screen panels, made as a flipbook.

It is created to be used as a laptop, an e-book reader and a multimedia center.

The flipbook can be used as a laptop when flipped in a notebook position. One among the two screens can be used as a display, while the other one can transform into an on-screen keyboard and a touch-pad. If user requires more space, the virtual keyboard may be stretched across both screens.

When used as an e-book reader, it is to be held like an opened book, both screens showing the pages, exactly like a hard cover book. Mere gestures of the user flip pages, making it none less than a real book reading experience!

Also, the device can be used a multimedia hub, where both the screens can be combined and joined together to enjoy wider and better display. Thus, the new Dual Touch screen Flipbook PC by Asus provides its users with a wide range of functionality.

Though, the new technical gadget lacks an option of connecting to a keyboard, its other qualities over shadow this discrepancy.

Asus has grown quite rapidly over the past decade. Eee PC brand has acted as a catalyst in company’s expansion. Dual Touchscreen Flipbook PC seems to have the potential to further increase in its manufacturers’ growth.

This new machine has been named the S121 and it features the world’s first 1/2TB SSD.

If you don’t find it quite impressive or newsworthy, the S121’s SSD has some other things to impress you as it is being claimed that that would work three time faster than the hard drives you normally find in other hard drives.

Similarly, it has also been claimed that their data transfer rate is almost double than you can find in other Solid State Drives.

It is big on disk size, but quite light when it comes to weight and seems to offer eight hrs unplugged entertainment.

The jet black chassis houses the Z520 Intel Atom process along with Asus’ impressive hybrid engine.
Johnny Shih, the chairman and CEO of Asus, says: “its cost will be a bit higher,” and if you want one, you definitely need to talk with your bank manger.

As we can expect that its launch date has not been announced yet. However, you may find it in the shelves within next three or six months.

The style is quite similar in all this range in which shiny black and brown plastic have been used that gives it a straightforward and attractive look.

The N80VC has a 14.1-inch display and it weighs just 2.6kg that makes it quite easy to handle for daily use.

It has a 1280×800 pix screen resolution that makes it quite easier to fit more than a few windows onscreen. You may find its sleek finish highly reflective in the sunlight, but it’s not a big issue for many.

It features NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics card that makes carrying everyday task easy and one doesn’t have to face any difficulty to edit photographs or run presentations. It will also allow you to play old games in your free time.

Many of us wouldn’t find its keyboard quite impressive or to be more precise it is somewhat disappointing. You find typing quite a bad experience when working on its large enough keys. However, its touchpad is quite impressive and offers a good response with a friction-free surface.

It houses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor that has been supported by 3072MB of memory. It makes N80 quite powerful to run things like Vista Home Premium with much ease. When it comes to battery life, it is average and runs around three hrs. You can store a lot of stuff in its 320GB hard disk.

It offers quite impressive connectivity and provides five USB ports to plug in your different peripherals. It also has HDMI and VGA interfaces that enable it to connect external display.

Apart from its keyboard, the Asus N80VC is, undoubtedly, an impressive and well specified machine.

In actual computer terms, it’s good to remember the similar sort of set up that powered a nice and decent PC at the turn of the century that was a lot better than the processor utilized at the time of moon landing.

This P565 features a 2.8-inch screen, 256MB internal memory and HSDPA connectivity.

It uses Asus’ touch user interface Glide. Business card recognition has been provided via 3MP cameraphone and for the business power-users Microsoft Mobile Office has also been featured.

Yeah, just like you everyone is into connectivity these days (above all interweb is making life as seamless as your grandma cushions) .So considering this, there is full complement of Wi-Fi standards up to ‘g’ and Bluetooth as well.

Don’t you worry if you are regarding Big Brother tracking you because there a GPS chip as well in this P565?

This smartphone is expected to bring the power of the PC into your palm, but UKers will be waiting for it as it’s not available in the UK yet.

“During the next year, some more exciting products will be available with the price range from $250 to $700.” It sparks hopes that the £150 price barrier in the UK will be beaten and it will create the same stir as the original 701 did.

According to Asus claims, the machine weighs even less than a kg and specs are better than Apple’s MacBook Air.
So far specs are concerned; the S101 has an Intel Atom processor and Intel 945 Express graphics, an integrated four-in-one card reader, 3 USB ports , easily changeable battery( with a good lifespan of five hours), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a nice RJ-45 Ethernet socket.

Now lets talk about the size (it does matter!), the S101 is 18-25mm thick with a multitouch trackpad and a 10.2-inch 1024×768 high resolution screen. The thing that makes it somewhat inferior is an underwhelming 0.3-megapixel webcam.

The S101 will be available in Windows XP Home versions as well as in two Linux versions.

Some reports seem to suggest that the keyboard of the S101 is somewhat better than the currently available batch of netbooks and it can prove a sales tipping point for many.

The fashion savvies will find the S101 in a wide range of colours including graphite, brown and champagne. The S101 will be available in early November with a price tag of £449.
