This player supports a BD Live profile with 2.0 as well as DivX and AVCHD as well. Toshiba’s REGZA is present in an accurate content with an SD slot that allows you for the BonusView application to show your pictures.

This supports Dolby audio formats along with TrueHD. The full HD Video Output is also a great advantage coming along with this model. The REGZA-LINK (HDMI-CEC) is also another part of the new player that should be pleasing you greatly. The SD Card Slot is all very interesting.

The A350 Satellite laptop is the company’s first 16″ model that features a nice 16:9 screen display.

The nice and pooping widescreen ratio on a laptop seems to suggest that it has been built only keeping the movie watching aspect in mind. Its 1366×768 HD resolution allows you to enjoy watching movies with HD clarity.

But no Blu-ray drive is quite saddening and restricts your HD film watching only to what you can get from the internet.

Aside from spacious screen, the machine houses a 2.10GHz Turion Ultra Core ZM-80 AMD processor, a 320GB hard disk, 4GB DDR2 RAM and some nice Stereo Harmon speakers.

For connectivity, it has three USB 2.0 ports that you can use to charge your device in Sleep mode.

An HDMI connection is also being offered. A nice addition is its 1.3MP webcam that has the ability to identify your face easily.

This nice machine is available in cosmic black with the price tag of £529.

Toshiba has just re-branded its conventional Satellite laptop line, this 17-inch Satellite P305 is also a -part of this recent re-branding. Besides a shiny metallic luster this 17-inch Satellite P305 has a wise Sleep-and-Charge feature that allows users to charge USB devices even with powered-off laptop.

The new Satellite P305 is a cost-effective ($ 1,009 fixed-configuration) substitute for a desktop. An HDMI output, Harman Kardon speakers but some basic feature like Bluetooth connectivity is missing in this New Satellite P305. Acer Aspire 8920 that has a Blu-ray drive is available in $1309 while Gateway P6860Fx with a high –end Nvidia GeForce 8800 video card is also available in some more bucks. However, if you don’t care about these features, the Satellite P305 is a right choice for maximum size in minimum price.

The look of this new Satellite P305 is quite better than the previous versions that used to rotate between peculiar red and black flamed designs and slate gray. With silver-gray and black pinstripes that join to give a distinctive metallic luster, this new model has been bejeweled in a “Horizon” (what Toshiba calls) pattern in Fusion finish. The new 15-inch Satellite A305D and 14-inch Satellite U405 also have similar look.

Because of mirror like finish even light handling can leave fingerprints everywhere on it. Usually, fingerprints are seen on wrist rest or a glossy laptop lid but fingerprints on the keyboard are quite bothersome as the keys of this Satellite P305 have been formed with an extremely glossy plastic.

The touch pad is no doubt admirable as it totally swills out with the wrist rest. There is a similar touch pad in Alienware m15x but P305’s touch pad is even better than this. This P305’s touch pad had a lusterless surface that make easier to identify active area without taking eyes off the screen. In Alienware’s touch pad wrist rest was made of similar to other glossy area of the touch pad and the users had to look down at the touch pad to find the wrist rest.

1440×900 native resolutions is offered by the 17-inch wide LCD screen that is typical for low cost 17-inch laptops. There are usually 1920×1200 resolutions in higher-end desktop replacements. These features make the Satellite P305 not a perfect device to watch HD videos; however, it’s good enough to play Web videos and DVDs.

It’s nice to have HDMI output and four USB ports but not having Bluetooth is a serious exemption .These days all favorite laptop are those that have Bluetooth as they save us USB dongles related problem. During battery drain test, P305 jogged almost 1 hour and 23 minutes

A one year (industry-standard) parts and service warranty has been offered by Toshiba while it will cost you an extra $149 if you want upgrading for a three-year plan. For support you can dial at a 24/7 toll free phone line and it’s also accessible via online downloadable driver.
