The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is rallying New Yorkers to send their opinions on reducing energy consumption in New York. It is an online contest entitled as ‘Shining Example’ accepting two types of entries.

It is based on the knowledge and ideas to be submitted through a 90-second video or a 250 words essay on saving energy consumption. All age groups are eligible to join in through the website: shiningexampleny
The benefit of participating in this contest is to know various opinions on saving energy as well as distributing prizes to the winning opinion of the participants. The winners will get ‘Energy Star’ qualified compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) home makeover.
