Social networking site users will be benefiting the most by this new cleanup service. McAfee Internet has closed a very positive and beneficial deal with Facebook. According to details made available, Facebook’s users, now totaling around 400 million will have the option to download a six month trial purchase of McAfee’s Internet Security Suite. This system protects computers from bugs and viruses that are encountered and are picked up when users surf casually through almost unlimited social networks.

The newly developed online tool that detects viruses all by itself. Once it confirms an attack is made, it scans and cleans the computer software system. The unique free facility by Facebook and McAfee team effort. When the Online alert tool finds the infection is computer, it responds immediately by a request sign – to run a scan – and clean it before connecting to Facebook. These continuous spot cleaning safe guards all further online users and discontinue what could start a bug chain among.

The development and then extending a free service to internet, shows definitely a very responsible approach to help customers protect their accounts. Facebook has also provided a spot check for viruses to assist routine net surfers.
Yes it is true that facebook has been rolling out their new design to some selected users.

Now let’s see what’s new

By default, on the top of the page, there is a menu of links of your popular publisher applications. These are all facebook built applications. For the very first time since its launch, applications are now inside the home page.

Bookmark section highlights your bookmarked applications. In case you have not book marked all 8 applications, the empty space will be filled with your recently and frequently used applications.

The navigation menu has been removed from the left side of the page. In new design it is on the top of the page. The menu lists bookmarked and recently used applications first, and then all the others.

Search is on the right side of the navigation bar.

The new home page is very clean and clear overall. The facebook has prioritize content creation on the wall, friend feed, and twitter status updates. Last but surely not the least, the applications have been moved out of the view on the profile page. Let’s wait and see what the users feedback is on the redesign.

There are so many endless possibilities coming up with networking through social media that it is quite impossible to do anything without them. There are even very young children now coming up to work with social media. But it has also come up to bring about some of the tricky sides of relationship.

Keeping up some beloved family members mean there are also a bunch of those that come over through which you get to be connected through common relations. Most people would rather not want to stay updated with them but then they cannot even ignore them about face.

Besides with close knit circulation it is always easy to find out what much of the family is up to. These strange nuances of social media do not bring you the freedom that you are truly seeking. This is quite simple to keep our connections well managed but in certain areas this can be tricky as well.

The recent increase in the number of employees has been about 50%. This significant number of employee increase has been through their strength of engineers as well as developers. There is still this venture flush finding working through Facebook which makes their revenue rise up beyond pale.

Facebook hit the mark of recruiting 1,000 employees by end of 2008 but then as the market crashed they were on hold with their work force. Now they are all on the go again as the business rises again. They have been keeping on suppressing their employee force but then they just went on the heavy prowl to get their company to get bigger again. They had been maintaining their employee perks as well.

Zuckerberg explained that they are now ready to move onto bigger projects with new engineers on their call at the moment. They are likely to make it even bigger this time around.

During the last two months, Facebook has redesigned almost each and every part of their site, and things are still being changed as the social networking site has come up with a new design of its third-party application directory along with the new interface. In this new app directory different Facebook-verified applications have been flagged in a lot clearer way and it is lot easier now to avoid those full of bugs apps that Facebook users have rejected so far. Similarly, there is more efficient interface to browse apps and now there are only seven categories instead of the previous 22 categories. A new ticker to know about the apps which your friends are using, and external apps listings with Facebook Connect integration are two other new and neat features. It’s, indeed, a better demonstration of verified applications with a smaller number of categories.

Facebook has just introduced a new annual apps verification program and these verified apps have undergone through this program. These applications have been checked whether they are according to the set standard for their content as well as API usage. Those applications which get verification are ticked with green and an outsized badage goes on their description pages. This move also allows the verified applications to get a lot more exposure in the app directory, as they are provided in the featured section that is available at the top of other given applications in every category.

However, Facebook’s search is one segment where these verified apps don’t seem to have the same importance and where users can pick to see only those verified apps that are given in each category. If you are going to search for an application, your search will not help you to find out whether this application is verified or not.

Facebook employee’s favorite apps along with Apps You May Like have also been featured in the new category and there is also a section where you can find the listings of apps in a reverse chronological stream. You can also find out the apps that are available on other sites like iPhone.

Aside from green check-mark, users’ ratings for these apps have also been given beside each and that’s what which makes Facebook fulfill its promise for more exposure to these verified apps.

With the help of cleaner interface of the application directory, users will find it a lot easier to find those apps which they like most. In the previous directory, you could see only a cluster of categories for apps like sports and games and users were allowed to sort by two categories including recently popular and the most popular one.

No doubt, the new directory has come up with a lot more improvements over the previous version, but still there are some features that many developers may not like, but the thing most of users would like is that the apps have been organized according to users ratings and their liking.

He insisted that this investment will provide just serve as a shock absorbing tool for the innovation in the coming times and in the stories about the talks with big companies have nothing new in them.

“If some investment is being made on some good terms, it will definitely be considered, and it will be used only for the reason that it will provide us some more buffers in the coming days,” Zuckerberg says in an interview with the Reuters.

Now people seem to report about some to the rumblings, but these are totally different talks that we have been doing in the past; however, you wouldn’t find anything new in these talks.

It’s just a few years away to have a public floatation, he added, and the goal or endpoint for many companies is IPO.

There was much fuss about their arrival, but it wasn’t certain when. However, now the developers need not to wait anymore, as Facebook has confirmed that its Verified Apps are almost done and they will soon be available to the masses. The Verified Apps initiative was first announced last year and now developers have been notified that the approved applications will soon be marked with green aside from their names right from tomorrow.

This Verified Apps program designed to highlight the prominence of Facebook Platform that had to face some problems previously because of good and bad application difference. To participate in the program, developers have to pay $375/year fee and they were assigned a badge in return which they can use to motivate users’ trust. Similarly, in application directory they got priority placement.

Now these directories are going live, and a lot depends on Facebook to urge users how these apps can can serve their purpose better than the other available applications. However, it sounds easy, but it’s not so easy in actual particularly in the condition when someone’s favorite apps fail to get approval for it.

It ‘s being expected that these Verified Apps will definitely have a vital role to play ahead particularly after live payment system and when the users will have to decide which one is the right source to spend their money.

Facebook is going to launch a heavy marketing campaign for this Verified Apps program and soon it’s going to roll out a video which will tell about the benefits of this program.

Two other preferred stock board seats are held by Jim Breyer and Peter Thiel. Zuckerberg is looking for retaining control of board of directors’ seat.

The company is also going to pitch some financial projections that you have heard previously. The revenue number that was leaked out from the company previously was around $400 million, but now according to some investors it is being expected by the company that their revenue would be around $400m during this year.

It’s, indeed, a considerable increase in the company’s revenue and things are becoming quite impressive when it’s about revenue of the firm. It is being also expected that it would stretch even from this and according to some it is somewhat unrealistic.

The last round valuation of the company was around $15b, but now it seems somewhat far off thing.

Malicious codes are a threat to the whole computer world. They may be in the form of worms, viruses or Trojan horses. They infect the systems and the users lose their important data.

Such a latest discovery has been made by Panda Labs where they have found a 56th variant of a family of worms, which swindles Facebook users. It is called Boface.BJ worm.

How does it work? It is important to know how it cons the users of global social networking hub Facebook so that one can stay away from such fraudulent programs.

It makes the user believe that their system has been infected by some virus, and they must buy an antivirus. This way, the worm downloads and installs downloads and installs rogue anti malware.

Panda’s ActiveScan online scanner has compiled data which shows that since 2008, 1 % of all scanned systems were infected by a variant of this very worm. Thus the technical director of Panda Labs Luis Corrons said, “Extrapolating this data with an estimate of the number of Facebook users, about 200 million, we approximate that two million users could be infected. The increasing number of variants in circulation is due to the aim of cyber-crooks to infect as many users as possible and therefore boost their financial returns.”

40 % of these infections have been identified in US, whereas the other 60 % are scattered in the entire world. Within 4 hours of the infection, the worm takes action as soon as the users of infected systems log on to their Facebook accounts. Again, it sends a message to all friends in user’s network directing them to a YouTube link where they download the fake antivirus disguised as a media player. So Facebook users, beware!

The lady next to your home is on facebook and is bitching about you with her friends on their walls. She might even have created a hate community using your name. Won’t you like to leave an answer for her?
__________________________________________________________________________________

If you start using facebook then you will be able to remain in touch with 16 year old niece and 58 year your uncle because literally everybody these days is using facebook. Even your maid and the cleaning guy who picks your garbage everyday might have checked facebook at least once. Facebook is an awesome way to remain in touch with almost everyone around you.
__________________________________________________________________________________

If you join facebook then you will be surprised to know that all your school friends whom you haven’t met since past 10 years are present in facebook. Even your favorite teacher is also present on facebook. Lastly, the guy on whom you had crush during your school days is there on facebook too and has been talking about you with his friends on their walls. Won’t that be an awesome surprise?
__________________________________________________________________________________

If you join facebook then you are aware about what is happening around you. You know what people think about Mr. Obama’s next move and how much they hate this current recession.
__________________________________________________________________________________

Your birthday becomes an international event if you are on facebook. Every friend in your list comes to know about your birthday and who knows if you end up grabbing some awesome present.
