It is quite like the following the trail left by Google as well as Microsoft. Yahoo has been planning to integrate Twitter to make their site look better and be connected to the greater Tweeting portal. The move is has been designed with the popularity about micro blogging along with increasing the site’s attraction in the greatest ways possible.

There are also similar deals that take place in terms of Yahoo’s relation with Facebook that gets to position better with social networking in a better way. The enormity of this integration is also used for easy access to these social networking portals like Twitter and Facebook that are working in great leaps and bounds today. These are important for everybody and every business. So these are indeed bringing the world closer in varied ways.

These easy to access approaches are bringing in much similarly designed agreements and data that can be displayed through Yahoo’s search engine with the recent changes. The online social universe keeps getting more relevant and personal as people get to experience them more and more. So Yahoo’s help is really creating great new ways to bring in such important integration at perfect work with everybody.

In a recent survey even though speculations were higher on Gmail, Yahoo proved to be the first choice for users worldwide. Next come Windows Hotmail with Google Mail on the 3rd spot. The followers happen to be AOL Email, Comcast.net WebMail, AIM Mail, ATT Webmail, Verizon Webmail, Roadrunner Webmail and Incredible.com.

However Google is gaining popularity fast but it would be long and a great leap for it till they catch up with Yahoo’s No.1 position if they keep growing in the current speed.

ComScore’s latest figures are all about the e-mail market showing Yahoo as 106.2 million users strong. This year it is about to grow into this new market reaching even some more million users.

Google still has a lot of catching up to do but with the current pace they just might in the next year. Microsoft’s Hotmail is also growing fast with 47.1 million users while Gmail only boats of 36.9 million users.

According to these court orders, Yahoo will have to cough up a sum of €55,000 instantly and additional €10,000 for the number of days it refused to handover the user information.

Yahoo has been fined for showing unwillingness to collaborate in a Belgian authorities prompted cyber-criminal investigation for an email account data which was used by some internet cons in Belgium.

On the other hand, Yahoo said that it’s bound to respond only to those requests that the company receives from US authorities. Belgian investigators are of the view that Yahoo is also running its services in Belgium, so it must respond to these requests. It is worth mentioning that judges have quoted that the process for asking data to other search engines likes of Microsoft and Google doesn’t pose any problem at all.

Now the court has ruled in favor of the investigation team and Yahoo is going to get a big penalty.
A Yahoo spokesman says in an interview with a Belgian magazine that the company will soon appeal against this court decision.

He also said that Yahoo had clear intentions to cooperate with national authorities and just after putting their standard procedure into practice.

AP – August 20, 2008

Technology brings a new convergence between the traditional tube and the hottest chip manufacturer. Intel has teamed with Yahoo to bring TV widgets to reality. The new Intel Media Processor CE 3100 is embedded in television sets to bring interactive web to your living room. By partnering with Yahoo, users are provided an interface through which they can access their favorite websites.

Using the Internet to bring interactive services to television has long been a goal of many providers. However, due to a number of obstacles, it could not be achieved. There was for one slow internet connections, lack of internet-based content and few mass-marketed devices which prevented consumers from seeing internet on TV as a feasible option. With broadband coming into play, a burgeoning of content and now the CE 3100, things look set to change.

The history of TV experience shows an evolution from analogue based to the digital base. Now these traditional formats are being replaced by the internet based platforms. Intel is also working with industry to build software frameworks to bring the internet experience to the tube.

There is also plenty of data to support the market having shifted preferences for internet based TV. While watching TV, 69% 18 through 39 year olds are also on the internet according to Forrester’s North American Consumer Technology Adoption Studies. These statistics show that it was only a matter of time before the traditional and the cutting-edge merged.
