Nexus One
Google has unveiled an new way for consumers to buy an Android based mobile phone known as Nexus One, on a web store hosted by Google. The company is also launching the first phone offered through this new model.
Nexus One is a blend of newest Android software and state of the art hardware from HTC Corporation.
The key objective of this new Google Consumer Channel is to connect Google’s online users with selected Android Software, more effectively. The user interface of this store is very simple and minimalistic.
Initially orders from US, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are been accepted, but in the coming months Google plans on to expand the web store to other countries as well.
Currently the phone is selling for $529 without any service, and at $179 with a two year contract from T-Mobile USA.
