Sony is quite habitual to make ‘the world’s lightest’, ‘the world’s smallest’ and ‘the world’s fastest’ sort of things. Now there is Vaio TT notebook that has been launched as the lightest Blu-ray laptop in the world with its 1.3kg weight and 2.5cm thickness.
In this slimline computer, there is an 11.1-inch XBERITE-DuraView LCD display with LED backlight that makes it ideal for Blu-ray Disc movies.
And if you are really a real film fan, you may prefer to use its HDMI connection.
For those who want style with smartness, the TT is available in a wide range of colors including silk black, carbon-fiber black, crimson red and champagne gold.
Under nice colors and slim looks, it houses Intel Centrino 2 processors from 1.2GHz to 1.4GHz range, 2GB to 4GB RAM and a 160GB to 256GB hard drive.
It will set back the US customers between $2000 with entry-level specs including DVD burner and $4350 for a full-flat Blu-ray SSD version. It will hit the shelves during next month.

There are some decent specifications behind the Vaio TT notebook but the best part is the light weight and the ultra-cool design. It’s a bit out of my price range this year but that is one nice looking notebook. I hope the trend towards slimmer laptops and stylish finishes continues and trickles down to lower price points for the rest of us.
