Sony World Photography Awards of 2010 has been all about bringing some incredible acknowledgment to the world of photography that has come across in the last one year. This is going to award Eve Arnolds with the Lifetime Achievement Award that would bring in to attention about her contribution in the world of photography. The annual awards ceremony will get to take place in Cannes on 22nd April. This would acknowledge her 98th birthday.

She has been one of the most renowned figures in the world of photography. With the best of coagulation in world photography this event is going to be a remarkable one to witness. The Managing Director of the World Photography Organization, Scott Gray, has stated this it is difficult to have imagined the history and evolution of photography without the collaboration of Eve Arnold.

Sony World Photography Awards have been honoring to celebrate her life and work through the showcasing of some of the most abiding images of the whole of last century. Zelda Cheatle, a close friend of Eve, has mentioned how excited Eve has been to be called for such an honoring. Eve has been one of the first emerging women photographers in a world which was not very supportive of encouraging much show in women’s photography.
