This new notebook has an 18.4-inch screen and features Intel’s well known new Core2 Quad Processor.

The 8930G has been especially designed for 3D gamers and multimedia workers, it has 12MB of L2 cache with four processing cores packs, up to 2.53GHz of clock speed rates and a 1066 MHz Front Side Bus.

Its spacious Full HD screen makes viewing a real stunning experience and a Blu-ray drive, Dolby Home Theatre audio , NVIDA GeForce 9700M GT graphics card are there too.

It will house Vista 64-bit, 4GB RAM and a 7200RPM 1/2TB hard disk with almsot all the available Wi-Fi flavors, card readers and webcam.

This shows that it’s really a heavyweight package, but still no specs related to size and weight have been released yet.

This 8930G will soon be available in the United States with a price tag of $1800, and to be released in other parts of the world afterward..

The Acer k10 mini projector has just been announced by Acer and according to claims, it one of the lightest and smallest projector available in the market.  It has been designed especially for those business people who keep traveling all around the year.

DLP technology of Texas Instruments has been employed in the projector, as a TI representative says, but Acer has not used TI’s Pico chip.

The width of this new projecter is even smaller than an average pen and now you may be gather how tiny this creature is.

As far as performance is concerned, LED technology has been used in the k10 and it can release up to 100 ANSI lumens brightness that indicates that you will be able to project a 60-inch diagonal image.

You can choose between 4:3 ratio and widescreen and a 1,000:1 contrast ration means that even in not-completely dark rooms, your PowerPoint will shine through.

The greatest advantage of this K10 has come forward as its compatibility with Acer’s laptops and other products. The same AC adopter has been used in the projector as in the Acer laptops.

So, you just need one power source for the two products.

The Acer K10 will hit the shelves earlier next year and it will set you back in just £299.

The PC maker is feeling somewhat superior after it’s over £100m profit for Q3 financial results.

During the last three months, Acer has sold more than two million nebooks worldwide and its Aspire is the best seller among the range. The company is looking forward to grow further.

These nice results have prompted the company to predict that it will sell 50% more netbooks next year that would make the sale of around 15 million units.

Acer President, JT Wang says that the company’s netbook shipments are likely to increase by up to 35 percent to meet the demand.

So, we have to wait and see how far Acer succeed to achieve its target, chances are bright or not, only time will tell, but ‘change’ has come: for good or for bad? Again time will tell.

There is a clear cut firestorm in the new breed of small, but so-called netbooks, but the question rises how many of them have been sold by Asus.

Market researcher IDC says that data for Europe, Africa and the Middle East show that more than two million netbooks has been sold in those regions during the third quarter of this year.

While in the total computer markets there is only 28 million sales in that period with a healthy seven percent share of netbooks and that is indeed quite impressive for a category that didn’t have existence 18 months back.

It’s not surprising at all that Ausu and Acer have a lion share of 80 percent of those mini laptop sales. It seems that HP, Samsung and others are also getting ready for the big fight in the coming months.

According to IDC, the laptop manufacturers may see a sharp rise in sales (up to four million) in the last quarter of this year. The important thing is whether any room will there for full-sized laptops in the coming days.
