The rumors about an Apple tablet device/netbook have taken a new turn during this week with the reports that the company was developing an e-book form factor netbook.

These reports have first emerged at DigiTimes which is a Taiwanese website and according to this report, touchscreen, Apple and e-ink specialist Wintek are going to chalk a new deal to offer panels for these devices.

Apple seems quite sulky on this issue still and has issued its usual ‘no comments on rumors’.

During March this year, DigiTimes has also reported that Taiwanese firm Wintek will supply panels for the coming Apple’s netbook while working in its various facilities in Taiwan, China and India. The shipments for the new Apple netbooks will be started from the third quarter of this year, the site also reports.
