Despite Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt’s, resignation from the Apple board. The Federal Trade Commission continues to investigate on these issues.

The US FTC has just started to look at some of the Schmidt facts on board with Apple as well as Google. There has been increased productivity with Schmidt’s resignation that has cited that Google is going for core business with Apple.

However under certain pressures Apple seemed to have drawn a line in regards to their situation with Google. There have been persuasive interventions in regards to Google’s business with Apple. FTC director Richard Feinstein has always insisted that the investigations need to be pursued further.

The scrutiny goes on to locate certain underlying factors through their companies for quite some time. It is easy to see certain increased interest in some of the conflicts with the interests of the two parties involved. They have even declared to close past relationships in the new situations.

Apple is going to launch new firmware update for its iPhone during the next month, and it’s expected to bring loads of functionality in the iPhone.

Direct movie download is also included in this functionality, at least various screenshots of this new firmware seems to suggest so.

These Apple Insider founded shots apparently indicate towards direct links for iTunes Movies, iTunes Movie Rentals, iTunes TV through Wi-Fi.

If it’s not a rumor, but a reality, it’s a gesture that you need not to plug your device into your computer for update and it would be quite similar to the way movies are downloaded in the podcasts available in the phone right now.

So, it seems to suggest (if there is something really true in it) that Apple trying to move away its devices not to tie any more to Itunes on computers and it allow users to have content for their cell phones right from their handsets.

Almost all big players have eyes on it, as an acquisition offer from the internet giant Google has just been rejected by Evan Williams, the CEO of the company. And now there are rumors that Apple also looking to get the rapidly growing site.

According to a reliable source, “Apple is in final stage talks to buyout Twitter and it is expected that the company would announce that at WWDC next month.

The source also told that $700m in cash will be the price to buyout the site. While on the other hand, some other sources say that they don’t know anything about such a deal and if such sort of discussion is taking place between the two parties, they both are trying to keep it quite underground.

When it comes to the other partner (Twitter) of this expected deal, it has often issued signals that it’s not willing to accept any such offer at any price right now. Twitter has problems in generating revenues and if the company still wants to stay independent even considering these problems, it’s, indeed, a nice thing.

This up gradation comes with two significant changes along with many others like updated documentation, updated utilities and updated tools.

System Image Utility has also been up graded with two changes. One of the two changes is that the target computer will not have any identical local KDC files when putting a system image created using volume.

The second up gradation is done by adding model filters for the latest Mac Book Pro, Mac Book, NetBook/NetInstall with Mac Book Air.

Also From a remote location, this up graded Server Admin Tools 10.5.6 helps the user to administer and control the Mac OS X Server.

It also repairs the problems as issues stopping Server Admin from responding when allowing permissions to a specific folder, which is residing on other than boot sector. This tool can be downloaded through: update mechanism in Mac OS X and Apple’s site.

Apple’s performance has been suspected after the CEO side lined due to his deteriorating health. Everyone around has been suspecting that Apple will soon be a history without the CEO’s absence, who has been playing his role in each and every thing from idealizing, designing, manufacturing, launching and marketing of a product. This upgrade can be a good answer to all such suspicions.

To bring high-definition television content to its iTunes Store, at last, Apple has signed a deal with all almost all the major television studios.

Apple has already introduced HD TV shows during the last month to iTunes, and NBC was its only partner at that time, but now CBS, Fox, ABC all have been included in the deal.

So, users get ready to enjoy Lost, Prison Break, Grey’s Anatomy and many other shows from the store.

But stop! The same HD content you can enjoy from their standard-def brethren, while saving more than one dollar on each episode. Here, you will have to pay $2.99 for each episode. Similarly, if you want to enjoy HD content for free, Hulu.com is a good source where many prime time shows are being played for free.

Currently, only the US users will make the most of the deal and once again no consideration for the UK customers regarding HD content.

Microsoft’s Scott Guthrie says in this connection that Apple is contrarily ready to facilitate plug-ins such as Flash and Silverlight.

“We are keen to be able to run Silverlight on the iPhone, but still whatever software is run on the iPhone is ultimately controlled by Apple.” Guthrie says.

“Now, whatever they have said is that they are considering enabling browser plug-ins such as Flash or Silverlight to run on the phone.”

On the other hand, Silverlight on Andriod is looking more promising as it’s an open source OS that has been developed by many companies including Google.

T-mobile’s G1 Android, which is the first Android phone, has huge pre-orders and Microsoft will surely consider this platform.

According to Guthrie, “Google phone is somewhat different and it’s for an open platform that we are looking at.”

The ‘Brick’ (as rumors are) is a top-end notebook computer that has been constructed with a single block of aluminum and it will address those concerns that many users had regarding Apple’s svelte Air notebook launched earlier this year.

Another rumor circulating these days is that a MacBook is available at just $800.

Though the price is low and idea is exciting, it looks somewhat uncompetitive given the quantity and sometimes quality of Intel Atom-powered netbooks available out there.

The rumor mill doesn’t seem to stop here, as some other suggestions floating around that MacBooks 13-inch will be getting an aluminum skin, WiMax wireless connectivity and Blu-ray drives may also find their way into these notbooks.

For accurate rumor-free details you will have to wait till next Tuesday (Oct.14) as Apple is going to reveal all at a Cupertino press conference on that days.

In an interview with the Telegraph, Wozniak explained about his fears saying that the iPod had run its course and now it’s time for timepieces.

“Transistor radios and Walkmans were quite popular in the past and then the time came when new inventions began to replace them. Similarly, many other devices live a short or long life and then die out”

“So, it’s not only the iPod that is getting the death-knell treatment. You would also find the same sort of death-knell treatments for many other devices in the whole computer industry particularly in these credit-crunching days,” Wozniak added.

When it was asked what Wozniak thought about the future of Apple products, he said: “Nobody, not even Steve Jobs can tell what the future holds for the company .However, he hinted that Steve Jobs had said that company would be investing in the in the watch called ‘iWatch’.

Though Wozniak doesn’t provide details, the common idea is that Apple will try to revitalize the watch market in a quite interesting prospect.

The iPhone and the Nokia N96: The two kings for one throne. Princes may be in hundreds, but the king is one who rules the kingdom and it’s not easy to be a King, particularly, if one is not an inborn king. However, so far the kingdom of cellphone industry is concerned, everyone is a self-claimed king. Apart from self-claimed kings there are some king cellphones that have been declared as the king of the ring by the users. Apple’s iPhone 3G and Nokia N96 are two kings of their respective rings, but what if we have to choose one from these two? Here, is a comparison to make it easier to choose from these two.

So far specs are concerned, they both are somewhat similar in specs and have a wealth of applications.

Though the N96 is big and wide, it feels nice in the hand with its decent built and solid chassis. On the other hand, iPhone 3G is smarter and wider than the N96.

It feels nice with aluminum back. In short, (without beating about the bush) iPhone 3G design is better than the N96.

iPhone’s applications are simple and easy to access while in the N96 we have the feel of menu climbing menu.

No doubt a class leading 5 megapixels, Carl Zeiss, twin LED camera on the back of N96 is matchless and it’s useless to compare it with iPhone’s 2Mp snapper without flash or video capability.

Both these phones don’t allow you to feel media deprived as they both are full of powerful media features. But the iPhone is on the edge with media power of its cousin iPod. I don’t think I need to tell you anything about iPod, as you may have flipped through thousands of Apple iPod reviews or even have that charming product.

So far internet is concerned; it’s always a strong point of iPhone that is loaded with power of safari browser to make mobile Internet experience nice. No doubt, the Nokia N96 also has a great web browser, but mobile surfing with mouse is absolutely crucial as it doesn’t have a touchscreen.

Battery life of both these phones are almost the same as they both have to be recharged after a day’s moderate –to-heavy use. The 3G coverage of the Nokia N96 is the point that makes it a better phone than the Apple’s iPhone. The poor 3G coverage of Apple’s iPhone is an open secret.

The next Tuesday will be the day when Apple is going to launch some of its new products. It is expected that the release will be all about a new iPod Touch, updated iPod Nanos and iMac range of 20-24inch that has received a speed boost with faster processor and more memory.

There are also talks about the new designs of MacBook and MacBook Pro (that may be available in aluminum casing), but it seems that they may not be ready till next week.

Similarly, much-awaited cheap mini-notebook, which is being called the rival of Asus eee PC, may not appear this year but we must hope for the best.
