This toolbar will let users to have access to their notifications at the site no matter what website they browse on the internet. This browser plugin has been under tests for quite sometime, but only a limited number of MySpace users could access to it. However, it will be available to all MySpace users worldwide from today.

Windows users can use this toolbar for IE and Firebox while Mac users can only on Firefox, as no support for Safari has been provided yet.

With the help of this new toolbar, MySpace users will be able to update as well as keep record of their messages, comments, updates and other alerts. This toolbar also has links to various services of the website with its Google-powered search engine.

Though most of users don’t have time to install some browser toolbar, but no doubt, some MySpace users would definitely like to have friends’ messages and other requests in real time.

During the past some years, many unofficial MySpace toolbars have been launched, but most of them didn’t seem to offer same stability and functionality as can be seen in the official plugins.

After long, long public trials, Microsoft has launched its IE 8 finally with the hopes and expectations of better security that has been particularly emphasized in this new version. The Redmond company is introducing WebSlices as well as InPrivate Brwosing features in it with this hope that they will prove quite effective to stop users migration to other available rival browsers.

John Curran says in an interview that Microsoft’s this latest offering will prove quite effective and take on anyone available in the market.

“You will definitely find a significant difference between IE8 and the other available players, as many significant improvements have been done to offer all the comforts and protections for a real nice web browsing experience.

There are many features that will definitely entice the users it’s ageing predecessors to upgrade their tools.”
Here are some features that make upgrading essential.

With the right mouse button, you can get some better functionally by using accelerators that are small programs. So, if you right click on some destination, you will be able to look for it in Google Maps or Liver.

WebSlices describes RSS with bells on that brings information from different things such as eBay auctions.
The most important part of the improved security system is InPrivate Blocking and InPrivate Browsing.

The InPrivate Browser allows users to surf the web without leaving any traces of your use. Information can also be blocked to pass to a website via InPrivate Blocking. Aside from that many other new security features have also been included that promise to make browsing a real safe thing for you.

Best Browser

There are continuous changes and progresses in everything especially the technical zone. Net is one of the fastest paced areas that undergo changes pretty soon than any other.

People all around the world use it and want to see changes and developments bringing speed and performance efficiency better ever than before.

Many leading net browsers are available today to surf the net world with utmost efficiency. Now let us see which one of the leading, most widely used web browser is highly acclaimed and why! Different browsers are made keeping different items on priority lists. Hence they hold their separate positions and standings gathering unique liking levels amongst users.

The most successful browser can be the one which has more features that attract most of the users and make them stick to that even with the change in versions. Amongst Firefox, Chrome, IE and Safari, let us compare, contrast and evaluate the best.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Interface/Look: #1: Google Chrome

On the first level, the interface and look of the browser counts a lot. It is to be seen that which is the browser that looks more easy to use and the tabs are visible enough and the important tags are properly highlighted according to their preferences.

Browsers have different looks with changed address bar placing like Apple dumped its OS X interface to match the colorfully designed Windows looks.

As far as interface is concerned, Google Chrome is on the top with its tab lay out. Firefox’s interface is function based than good impressive look. Safari has the quality of showing bookmarks, favorites, and browsing history similar to iTunes.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Features/ Characteristics: #1: Firefox

The most easily extensible browser is Firefox with so many add-on options which none other gives.

Other browsers like IE also have the same options but not as extensively as are on Firefox. Chrome and Safari too are not expandable like Firefox.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Performance Results: #1: Safari

Marking the performance of each browser on memory footprint with a single open page, Safari becomes the winner in the race. Each browser has different memory requirements, which are as follows:

(1) Safari 4 beta 985.6ms / 1,079.6ms
(2) Firefox 3.1b3 2,221.2ms / 2,232.4ms
(3) Chrome 1.0.154 1,332.4ms / 1,371.2ms
(4) IE8 RC1 5,804.2ms / 5,834.6ms

The above figures refer to everyday JavaScript browsing. In speed, Chrome was fast, Firefox was also good, but IE was slower than was expected.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Security: #1: Firefox And Chrome

All browsers provide the security to users to protect their data and machines from damages after being infected with virus.

Browsers provide various kinds of restricting options like Porn Mode, block pop-ups, clear history, protection from phishing and other net interferences.

While protecting the computers from crashing, Chrome has been copied by IE. It performs separate checks for each tab allowing the user to ‘end process’ for any tab that has a troubling site. Whereas, in Chrome, there is a tab manager; Shift+Esc that allows to stop the working right there in the browser.

This prevents the browser to shut down even its needed to run, like IE shuts down if there is some ill causing a crash.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

The Best Of 4: Firefox

Although all the browsers are good at their place, but still Firefox is the one that wins over the others due to its ecosystem that allows easy add-ons.

Firefox is rather an advanced browser comparing to others which allows doing things quicker. Chrome is not even strong technically to support everyday net tasks until a few more features are added in.

While considering Safari, it can handle RSS feed unlike Chrome. It also has the best JavaScript performance. Also, if we compare all the 4 on rankings earned, Firefox stands out as no.1 leaving others behind.

The nicest thing is that there the Javescript problem wouldn’t be there anymore, well, this is what Mozilla has fixed with the release of 3.0.6 Firefox release. The latest update would help the popular browser not to serve as a bugs’ host for long.

In previous versions, the Javascript problem could make hackers run not permitted code via exploit. Similarly, some changes have been made in the way which makes scripted commands workable with different plug-ins and another problem, related to seeing the parts of it after longer use has also been addressed.

The community was requested that the client ID should have been removed from the reports related to crashes.

Their wish has been granted and many other security related issues have also been fixed.

Internet Explorer have been serving as a dominant force in the browser world for quite long time, but now Mozilla has taken a considerable chunk out of this and now nearly capturing 20% market share.

But a lot of improvements have been made in the coming IE8 that will also be the default browser of Windows 7. Considering all this, Mozilla definitely have to prove its metal to keep the momentum going.

The new web feast is set up; Microsoft has launched its RC1 of Internet Explorer 8. Microsoft is strongly hoping that this version of IE will dominate the web world for long.

Previously Internet Explorer’s popularity and usage was minimized because of other explorers that were launched. These competitors include Mozilla Firefox, Apple’ Safari and Opera, and Google Chrome.

Though Microsoft’s browser is still the most used, it has seen a decrease of 20 percent profit earnings. This upgrade was inevitable as the other explorers can take away more from Microsoft.

Therefore an enhanced version had to be launched with advanced features that can help speed up browsing and net surfing. Dean Hachamovitch, General Manager Microsoft Internet Explorer, “IE8 [is] focused on how people really use the web,”

Though web today provides enhanced speedy functions comparing to past, yet more speed is always on demand. Hachamovitch says, “Consumers want a browser that makes the tasks they do every day faster and easier.

The activities people spend their time on define real-world performance: navigating to websites, working with tabs, searching, keeping track of changing information (like traffic or an auction), and using the information from one site with another (as in getting a map).

For so many years, IE has proved to be a reliable source of net surfing with the most minimized troubles faced by users. “Everyone wants a trustworthy browser that keeps them in control and protects their safety.

Developers want great developer tools, great interoperability and a powerful platform that enables them to innovate”, says Hachamovitch.

The Chrome browser was quite hit when it was released in September last year and it soon took 1% of the browser market after its launch, however, afterward Firefox kept its growth and Chrome significantly dropped.

Chrome browser has not been released for Mac or Linux OS computers yet, and according to Brain Rakowski, who is Google’s Product Manager at Chrome, the development of Chrome browser for Mac and Linux is at early stages right now.
