Kyocera has set a new standard for cool gadgets by uncovering its folding OLED handset at CTIA. You can mould this folding OLED the way you want to.

The phone has been developed with semi-rigid polymer screen without any traditional battery and these are your movements that will serve as power supply to it.

You can fold it in several shapes according to your needs and occasion. You can make it utterly flat to view widescreen video and can also give it general netbook shape.

There is a low-power OLED that designers can turn into a magic concept to make lots of things they want to make with it.

The real nice idea is shape memory that allows the keys to pop up whenever they want it to do as well as blend it back in its unit surface to perform some other tasks. This idea may pave a way for better solution to non-availability of physical keyboard if it is added in some touchscreen devices of today.

No word about the release date, but is it surprising at all, however, the real staggering thing is that it’s going to become Kyocera future projects, as the maker says. Let’s see what happens and only time can tell when it will be hitting the shelves.

Rumor or reality, time will tell, but there are reports that Acer is going to launch an Android-powered handset in September this year.

According to a report published in the Philippine Business Mirror says that Acer has confirmed that its Android-powered handset will be available this year.

The handset is expected to feature a touchscreen and it will be one of E1, F1, L1 and C1 handsets that have been announced last month. It seems to fit nicely in the roadmap that Acer has already provided in a recent event.

Philippine Business Mirror refused to name their source and that’s why one needs to take these rumors something more than just a rumor. But recently, Acer has refused to exclude Android in a previous event.

There are many big players of the cell phone industry who have pledged to be the part of Android party. Sony Ericsson, LG, Smasung and Motorola are some of these players. However, it seems that Samsung may appear as the first to come up with a true Android device.

According to some reports, HTC is going to debut its Magic from Vodafone by the end of May 09. So, Acer be quick in your efforts if you really want to ride Android fanaticism wave that may overcome the entire mobile world.

The idea phone has been shown at Mobile World Congress with little specs details at hand.

The pictures of the new handset are wide spread, coming with a wide touch screen display of 3.5in 640 x 320 pixels 16:9. Its touch screen display is called as ‘intuitive touch features’ by Sony Ericsson.

The camera comes with Xeon Flash without any CyberShot. Sony Ericsson’s 12.1MP camera mobile set is powered with Symbian Foundation Operating System.

It is told that it will integrate the best CyberShot and Walkman ranges, DLNA compatible WiFi and GPS receivers.

Regarding the new feature of 12 mega pixels, which is supposed to be its basic marketing feature, for many, holds a negative impression. It is said that more pixels will hurt the picture quality instead of improving it. With the expected launch in 2009 in the second half before the start of the summer”., the price details are not known too.

The other mobile set that SE has unleashed at the Mobile World Congress is Entertainment Unlimited, targeted towards entertainment: “unite and broaden entertainment experiences”. Lennard Hoornik, head of global marketing, Sony Ericsson said, “Entertainment Unlimited lets us reinforce our position as the communication entertainment brand.”

Entertainment Limited is integrated with entertainment tools such as Java games, messaging, unifying the brands of Walkman and CyberShot imaging providing fun experience, keeping applications and services in line with each other.

It is regarded by the manufacturer as a best device to integrate between devices on a home network.
Hoonikr is quite hopeful and cherishes the fame SE presently enjoys. He further added, “Everything that we have done to date has brought us to this point.”

Younghee Lee, who marketing head at Samsung Mobile, says in an interview with the Guardian that Samsung is more likely to launch its handset with Google OS in the later half of this year.

She also says that Samsung itself will design the phone instead of framing it out to some other cell phone maker. The launch of the handset has been planned for the second half of this year.

Samsung is one of those cell phone makers that belong to almost all mobile phone alliance working out there, its phone running on Windows Mobile, S60 and now Android is also expected.

Another well-known and important member of the Open Handset Alliance is LG and there are rumors that it will come with its Android handset at World Mobile Congress.

Recently, Samsung has released its new flagship smartphone, the Toccoo before the event, as rumors mill goes on the company will also bring at least one dozen other handsets to shine in the event. So what if Android is not there, Samsung has a lot of other things to make you excited.

You may have used our 3.5G mobile internet sticks, and now we are bringing a phone for you that will utilize the power of Android.”

Well, this would be the statement that we can expect from Huawei at the launch of its new Android phone, which is due next month at MWC.

Huawei new Android venture suggests that these guys just don’t to restrict their magic only to broadband stick market, but also want to expand this magic into the handset markets through Google’s Android.

This release of Android handset is being considered as one of the biggest releases at Mobile World Conference and Huawei will receive tons of kudos as the second maker to unveil an Android device.

Some paraphernalia, we can expect from this new Android powered device, are a nice touchscreen as well as some buttons, a robust camera and nice connectivity, as it will be the first device that features HSPA+ internet that means a nice speed of over 42Mbps wireless speed.

When it comes to UK, it’s true that at present there is little infrastructure to back it with maximum speed, but what’s wrong to get some nice options.

According to Samsung, it is quite essential to stay cutting edge in the future cell phone market.

The company confirms that it will develop a phone using Google‘s operating system by the end of this year.

Considering those rumors according to which Samsung and LG have been showing models for quite sometime, it’s barely shocking for some.

“We are planning to accelerate the developing process for Android phone considering the particular requirements of local carriers,” Samsung revealed in a statement.

Samsung also confirms that Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile will serve as the carrier for their device (most probably only in the United States). However, there are no details whether this new phone have to follow the G1 on T-Mobile in UK.

Till now there is not any phone available in the UK that follows the G1 handset of T-Mobile and supports Android, but many different handsets have been confirmed and mooted in this connection.

In November last year, the Kogan Agora was named as the next phone that would support Android, but it seems that the handset has been sealed right now.

We have been hearing that Motorola will bring an Android handset during this year and similarly, we have also seen some prototypes likes of Touch Revolution and Leveno for the past few months, but still the question is who will beat every other Android player in the market.

The results of a survey show that nearly 61 percent of mobile users (included in the survey) in the US and UK told that it is as difficult to set up a new handset as to move a bank account.

This survey, from cell phone firm Mformation, also showed that almost 85 percent mobile users reported they were getting frustrated of having a new handset and set it to work.

Nearly 95% people said that they would like to use new services if their mobile phones were easier to set them up.

Matthew Bancroft, an Mformation spokesperson, said that mobile users get frustrated when they have to call some operator or get online help in this connection.

“Modern mobile phones can really do a lot of things, but it is quite saddening that most of the users don’t know how two use these new mobile features,” he added.

Nearly 95% users said that they would use new features if the initial set up for them was made easier.

Bancroft told that usually turned off trying when they had to experience something bad in their efforts to get more from the devices.

“When people find that some application is not working after trying two or three times, they stop using or trying for it again,” he added.

Aside from features, designs and applications, the things that really enhance the elegance of your handset are ringtones and wallpapers. Many users believe that these wallpapers and iPhone ringtones not only demonstrate your style and taste but they also grab the attention of those whom you want to impress.

Yeah, these wallpapers and ringtones can be the best source to make other interested not only in your device but also in you.

But the question is where we can get the latest and the largest collection of ring tones and wallpapers for our handsets.

This question is not hard to answer at all as there are millions of websites that offering a wide range of wallpapers and ring tones, but half of them don’t have what you want for your cell phone and the other half are quite habitual to charge considerable cents.

Don’t be worry any more! Here comes the best solution as funtonia.com is the biggest MP3 and polyphonic ringtone site on the web where you can get more than 500,000 ring tones including 450,000 MP3 ring tones. Besides MP3 and polyphonic ring tones, you can also download from more than 6,478 wallpapers available on funtonia.com.

The site also offers the details of the most popular MP3 real tones and polyphonic Ring tones, latest updates related to cell phones and the music world that keeps you inform what’s happening in the world of music and mobile phones.

You can browse MP3 real ringtones by the name of artists as they have been alphabetically categorized from A to Z at that site.

Whatever you want to have for gadgets ( 7 things, I kissed a girl, low ,Loli-loli and many more ) all you need to spend is one cent and you would fill your cell with your desired ringtones and wallpapers.

HTC, the maker of the Android G1 handset, has just uncovered the world’s first 4G phone named HTC 4G that boasts speeds of up to 70 megabytes per second.

HTC 4G features a 3.8-inch touchscreen with 480×800 resolutions and runs Windows Mobile 6.1.Because of the high bandwidth opportunities, it offer high quality mobile TV to be streamed over the network and super-fast games, movies and maps are delivered to the handset.

WiMAX works the same way like Wi-Fi, however it covers a much larger area. Its 70Mb/s speed is applicable for handsets quite near to the source and the accurate speed figure is 10Mb/s over a 10Km range, still quite fast.

It also allows another 4G connected handset to be contacted with the VOIP over the network, as there is a deal with Scartel. It will also work with any SIM card in Russia as well.

Currently, WiMAx is being tested in the UK and it may become a large-scale deployment in the coming days.

However, no definite plans for a full scale roll out mean handsets like HTC MAX 4G is coming soon and the wired connections seem taking their last breath. If you want to save it , better start hiding that Ethernet now.
