Here, you can have a detailed database of some well known file extensions including .WPS files and file extension 3G2.

Many of us know that Windows/DOS, MAC and UNIX all have their different file systems and metadata formats because of their competing influences and over 40 years in computer hardware and software developments, it becomes quite difficult to define an accurate outline of the function and nature of file extensions.

In 1960, the first company that implemented file extensions was Digital Equipment Corporation, as it introduced a file system that broke it within the base name of the file extensions. Then after some time, the same convention was adopted by the Microsoft for its DOS as well as Windows operating system.

Microsoft first originally restricted the base name as to eight characters and the extension of the file to following three characters that made it the combination of 8 letter name with a 3 letter.

Before Windows 95, file extension was restrictive to a great extent and it was in Windows 95 and future versions when longer filenames were allowed.

On the other hand, file extension wasn’t used by UNIX and Mac; they both had developed their own file systems with different convention for storing metadata. The codes contained within the file were used in Mac OSX while in UNIX systems information was stored in a single.

But many believe that the popularity of Windows became the cause of developing the file extension that was counted the typical method of showing a file’s function. These days, Mac OXS is also utilizing file extensions.

Samsung offered over £2.5bn for the buyout of the company, but according to Sandisk, the figure is no more than an opportunistic attempt to reap the benefits of SanDisk’s current stock price. SanDisk’s share shot up 52 per cent to $22.82 after the news of the deal.

Sandisk said that Samsung showed that might pay a specific premium on the $28.75 per share price recorded on May 22, 2008 and it was the time when talks really started.

On the other hand, Samsung says that the current offer of $26 per share is quite fair and full and it further says that the deal is still on.

Samsung and SanDisk are known as the biggest companies in the emerging flash memory market as SanDisk is known as one of the biggest memory card manufacturers while NAND memory is the product of Samsung.

During the past few years, the capacity of flash memory has considerably increased even up to 256GB that’s making them quite suitable for laptops and similarly in many high end mobile phones memory can be significantly expanded using memory card.

The captain not only stole the memory stick but also 2,000 yen in cash with 10,000 yen airline coupon in February last year.

On May 24 last year, the GSDF announced that the captain had been suspended for 60 days on the charge of stealing money and coupon but it covered up the stealing of the memory stick.
According to Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba‘s justification the forces kept back the loss of the flash drive because they feared that the information might spread more if some people looked for it on the Internet.

During the last year, a GSDF‘s lieutenant colonel borrowed the memory stick that had those troops deployment maps which were used for Japan-U.S. joint military exercises during 8 to 16 February .The Colonel lent the stick to a first class sergeant first who lost it.

1 Terabyte hard disk for 17-Inch MacBook: Isn’t it a noteworthy storage increase for 17-inch MacBook Pro owners. Besides some other mods, it also changes MacBook supportive visual drive a 2.5-inch hard drive with 500GB and hit the thrilling 1TB score. Another matching 5400 rpm 500GB drive will replace the laptop’s standard hard disk.
Can you guess its cost? One shouldn’t expect less than $800 and may increase if MCE installs that kit for you.

This 1 Terabyte hard disk consists of the new MCE’s SATA 500GB optical bay hard drive and 500GB MobileStore Internal SATA Hard Drive, besides an external inclusion for the original inner hard drive and an inclusion for the moveable inner Super drive.

To maintain CD/DVD reading/writing functions of the original inner optical drive, it has been replaced by the OptiBay Hard Drive. Slim outsider USB 2.0 attachment converts optical drive into a bootable SuperDrive and makes it as friendly with iDVD, iTunes as it was before.

Installation

This upgrade can be installed easily and one can install it oneself, however, if someone doesn’t feel comfortable while working on one’s laptop, the product can be installed by MCE Technologies or some other worldwide Authorized Centers. If one wants MCE to Install these upgrade, one will have to pay $149 for Supreme OptiBay installation services while $99 for the Standard OptiBay Installation services.

Some noteworthy features

It has high performance spindle speeds around 5400RPM, 500GB standard inner hard drive and 500GB OptiBay hard drive, bootable, it easily sets up by applying Apple’s Disk Utility program, it can be portioned, used as a single capacity and can also be made part of RAID array.
