Last night, TV distribution specialist PSCo organized an event in London to uncover some real big machines of the telly world. Sharp’s 108-inch TV, which was announced at CES way back in 2007, also made its debut in the UK in this very event.

The event wasn’t all about Sharp’s giant LCD, as a 103” touchscreen plasma from Panasonic was also there.

It is quite evident that these tellys have not been made for the general consumer market, and they would be used in commercial environment like airports and supermarkets.

PSCo informed that these LCD screens are being used in Japan in a cinema hall and it’s true that the screen is big enough to be used for the cinema.

During the past few years, various LCD TV makers have been trying to match or even exceed plasma as consumers’ first choice for the big-screen. However, many people at the event were of the view that mega-screen TVs may be the things to consider in the end.

According a Sharp’s spokesman, it is possible that the current 108-inches may serve as the biggest possible size for LCD for quite some time and it’s not about technological limitations, but for consumer demands.

“There are some footballers, who are looking for such a giant TVs that can adjust nicely in their big mansions,” he added.

According to the company, its new 65in LaserVue rear-projection TV will be sold around $7K.

The cost hardly matches up with high-end HDTV that has almost similar specification. However, the company didn’t provide any detail the price of its 73in big bro.

This 10in deep LaserVue is quite larger as a modern TV, but if compared to its CRT ancestors, it is somewhat fragile. It has nice green credentials that make it consume minimal power if compared to other plasmas and LCDs.

Its mooted three dimensions are enough to make you mesmerized. The TVs will be shipped by the end of this month.

With its nice slide opening casing, the stylish Nokia 5610XpressMusic phone belongs to the 3rd Gen of music phones. Its easy to use and high quality music features will definitely win the hearts of music lovers. This Nokia 5610XpressMusic is 48.5mm wide and 98.5mm tall. These dimensions really make an easy to use slide phone that can be operated and held in one hand. It weighs around 111 grams and feels nice to hand and pockets as well (neither too heavy nor too light). It’s a member of Nokia XpressMusic phone family that includes many other great names like the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic, the Nokia 5700XpressMusic and the Nokia 5310XpressMusic.

The Nokia 5610XpressMusic has a 2.00 inch color LCD screen with 16.7 million colors and it’s ideal to display music information and colored images.

There is a 20 Mbytes of internal memory and the memory can be expanded to 4GB by inserting a MicroSD memory card. The integrated Bluetooth technology of the 5610 allows users to enjoy a wireless connection between compatible devices. You can also use cable connection with its micro USB port. Its battery offers almost three hundred & twenty hours of standby time, twenty two hours of music playback and six hours of talk time.

Music features of 5610XpressMusic are quite impressive and somewhat remarkable as well. You can play music in MP3, MP4, WMA and AAC music format. There are slide keys that make easy access to music features. It also has a music chip that makes sound crystal clear and also helps to offer longer playback time.

The 5610 XpressMusic has a 3.2Mp camera that is equipped with nice imaging features including a two way capture key that makes still imaging a real enjoyable experience. The dual LED flash allows users to have brighter picture in darker environment. It features an 8x digital zoom that makes it easier to smoothly zoom to get a closer clearer image of the targeted image. With its video playback facilities users can watch videos up to thirty frames per second.

You can also send, receive and manage your emails with its mobile email service. Isn’t it a great help to those are away from their office or home computer .You can also attach files to your emails.

Audio messaging service, MMS multimedia picture & video messaging service, SMS text messaging and usual SMS text messaging are available in this 5610 XpressMusic.
With its integrated Internet browser, you can quickly access the internet when and where you like. There is also a built in calendar in it that allows you to store reminders, memos, birthdays, anniversary, meetings and appointments.

It’s indeed a nice cell phone that features some nice specs with a catchy design. The things that we found bad were the keys that were too plasticy and screen that was prone to scratches.
