Though Intel Developer Forum has unveiled many innovative new technologies in this week, the soonest felt would be the arrival of one of its existing devices.

Intel announces that the coming 2nd Gen of dual-core mobile processors for the smart and light notebook PCs would be available to all comers.

So, we can say that any PC maker that wants to have the same thin and light chipset, which is found into the MacBook Air, can freely use the Merom processor if it fits.

This smart and light chip plays an important role to give MAcBook Air a slim look. It is being expected that soon there would be a lot of competitors from Taiwan to make alternative available.

Let’s see, how Apple responds, but we can expect a revamped version of the Air. With or without the Intel chip? Time will tell.
