Don’t give out your mobile phone number carelessly anymore, as your phone can be hijacked remotely just by sending SMS messages, a mobile security firm warns. According to Trust Digital, someone with precise toolkits and expertise can hijack your cell phone

This attack is quite effective when some victim is asleep and that’s why it has been named as “Midnight Raid Attack.”

Dan Dearing, Trust Digital marketing vice president, says: “This text message starts up a web browser that leads your phone to an infected Website where an executable file is downloaded on your phone to steal off data from it.”

How does it work, it has been demonstrated in a YouTube video.

Similarly, in another kind of attack, your cell phone can be hijacked by sending a control message on the GSM network. This attack has also been explained in another video on YouTube.

Dearing says that these kinds of attacks are proof-of-concepts right now, but if someone has toolkits and required skills, they can be launched easily. Trust Digital has also announced software dubbed EMM 8.0 that will be quite helpful for organizations to protect their employees’ cell phones against such attacks.

“It’s utterly a serious threat, and we will have to face such sorts of attacks in near future,” says Philippe Winthrop, a director in the global wireless practice at Strategy Analytics.

There are some reports that suggest, Samsung is making a new phone with such specs and features as other phones could only dream of. The codename of this closely kept secret is the Bresson.

According to these reports, Bresson will be available soon with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, an 8Mp camera and high-end office functionality.

The phone has not been confirmed by the Samsung, but it has made it to the ‘coming soon’ sections of independent phone retailers.

It is being said that with its 15.mm, it will be 1.7-inch thinner than i8510 that has been recently released and thus it may become one of the thinnest mobile phones available in the market today.

There is also the same GPS and accelerometer that has been used in the Omnina, however, it has not been revealed whether it will also use Windows Mobile or not.

It can support full HD TV, so it can pretty much hold anything you run or try for entertainment through it. So far storage is concerned; it can expand up to 16GB using a memory card. Soon, there will be a decent review to tell you a lot about this phone. So, wait and watch.

With Bang & Olufsen external speakers and novel dual-slide, the Samsung F400 is no doubt a nice music phone that offers you a new rich experience of music. There is an iPod-like MusicWheel that makes controlling of the music player quite well.

For the best music experience, it allows you to plug in your own headphones with the 3.5mm jack for an exceptional music experience. Aside from good music features, it has a 3 mp camera with autofocus, Bluetooth, MicroSD memory card slot and 3G HSDPA.

In this dual slider phone and just like a conventional slide phone, you have to slide it up to access the keypad and to see the speaker you have to slide it down as an external speaker is located at the phone.

The F400 has somewhat outstanding music capabilities as it has been especially designed as a music phone. The audio quality is 100 percent with external stereo speakers and the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology. Extra bass emits as there is a specific smart bass feature. You will find the audio quality superb with external speakers as well as with 3.5mm headphone jack. The music player supports almost all well known digital formats like MP3, WMA and OMA Digital Rights Management 1.0. It also has a built-in FM radio.

It has music controls very similar to iPod MusicWheel and a music hotkey is also there that makes access to the music player quite easy. A Sony Ericsson’s like TrackID music recognition feature is also there that allows you to find out the track and artist information with the recording part of some song.

We can’t say it superslim, but it is quite compact and fits snugly into the hand. The keypad slides open with smooth and ease without creating any problems to the keys. It’s not superslim and there is an advantage of it and that is, a larger capacity battery has been fitted inside that offers a good battery life.

As a 3G phone, it supports fast music downloads through HSDPA 3.6 Mbps and supports USB 2.0 connectivity and full Bluetooth 2.0 as well. Besides SMS and MMS, you can also send and receive emails with this F400. It houses a handy document viewer feature to view attachments.

So far camera is concerned; it’s a good mid-ranger with 3mp, autofocus and an LED flash. It allows you to record video in MPEG4 or 3GPP formats and it has another camera as well for video calling. The display is just like as we can expect from such sort of phone with 320×240 pixels standard resolution and 262k colors.

The thing that makes F400 miserable is the internal memory of just 20MB, but it can be expanded up to 8 GB with a microSD card and allows you to store around 2000 MP3 tracks.

If the response of iPhone is not up to your standards Griffin offers you a way out with a built-in antenna-boosting case. The Griffin ClearBoost is a black polycarbonate iPhone case with rubber pronunciations that don’t block radio waves. If you live in a quarter where you come across with obscurity with response you might take help from the ClearBoost antenna which would amplify signal potency under a number of suitable conditions.

For most US clients, the ClearBoost would increase signal and trim down the dropped calls maybe enlarge download times where reception would by and large be complicated. But it is beneficial to some extent where you have diminutive assessable advantage. However, the placebo effect and evaluations with other iPhone users looked like heartening.

The price is analogous to other cases with impending gigantic reimbursements over the others. Besides, the package contains a fixed covering screen protector and a clear out cloth. Such a case was designed exclusively for presently shipping iPhones, but stay tuned for a new set of products of the iPhone 3G

The ClearBoost is as shielding as many other cases. It has the signature Griffin enhanced means of closing around the iPhone. It entails a coin to stretch the countenance from the back half to take away it. The polycarbonate black plastic looks after the touchtone phone from a good number of smacks and drops, but it does have the equivalent quandary as just like the other two-part cases. This would take into muck as well as filth to access the case. Therefore, such a dust would chafe and scratches mark the iPhone over the time.

One of the shortcomings is that this case exposes the cell phone. The entire acme part from earphone to command button is uncovered and this gives the impression superfluously.

The rubber crux is the last part of the antenna sticks up about a centimeter in excess of the customary iPhone stature, but doesn’t in actual fact start substantially.

The results calculated in the 1900MHz band however the ClearBoost is intended to work best in the 850MHz band that is the preponderance of the US coverage. In the course of a little bit of touchtone phone calling and well thought-out Googling the area of the country (Raleigh, NC) was using 1900MHz for AT&T, T-Mobile, and SunCom however Alltel, Verizon, and Sprint customers used the 850MHz band. This elucidated that you don’t catch the bursting benefit of the ClearBoost case in the surrounding locality. Knowing this, the majority of the people don’t know why their experiences are better compared to other iPhone users around along with the Field Test Mode.

The analyst of “The Times’ narrated that the price of the UK iPhone might get decrease up till pounds 100 by the launch of newish model of 3G iPhone later by the next month.

The market analysts concur with others who said that Apple is probably to let a massive amount of mobile phone corporations to support financially the appliance, as its strategy of profits allocation under private carter transaction is believed to have confirmed unproductive outside of the United States of America.

The Times comments that Britain, Germany and France have put up their plan for sale a pooled sum of 330,000 iPhones by the end of December. More and more, it is estimated and whispered by the market analysts that the numbers of the 3G iPhone can be raised anywhere between 500,000 and 600,000 in the future, and this might be a great embark of the Apple.

Analysts with UBS pronounced that they deem the 3G iPhone might put on the market for as diminutive as €99 in mainland Europe, the alike price as the little price 2.5G iPhone in Germany. The 3G iPhone is being estimated on a higher level of market sales, because the competition and environmental conditions are different from country to country in the modern times.

It is moreover happening in favor of the Apple so that they could earn more and more profit by their 3G iPhone massive sales. However, it is to say that there is very partial competition of the selling of 3G iPhone in the UK, Germany, and France etc. As many Apple iPod reviews seem to suggest that the product is, indeed, exceptional and may hear the same about this Phone.

Last but not the least is the optimism of the business entrepreneurs of the Apple that their product of UK’s 3G would be launched near by July this year. This is moreover conferred by the Time sources. After the launch of 2.5 3G mobile phone in the United States, it would take five months for the appliance to get nearer to the UK.

In a nut shell, we will say that 3G iPhone is the most enthusiastic choice of the technology users. It is hitting upon the United States on a large number which is also showing the guarantee to be the worldwide mobile phone very soon.

According to research firm IDC’s survey, during the first quarter of 2008, Apple Inc.’s iPhone, which new model is being expected this summer, took 19.2 percent share of the U.S. smart phone market.

According to IDC’s report there is a decline of almost 26.7 percent of smart phone sale that was noted during the fourth quarter of the previous year that also included holiday shopping season.

Most of the drooping was lifted up by RIM’s BlackBerry that took 35.1 percent of the market during the fourth quarter and then 44.5 percent during I Q

According to IDC analyst Ramon Llamas, BlackBerry has come forward as strong player as Research In Motion has effectively increased the charm of the device beyond the professionals, a core customer group for the BlackBerry.
Smart phones have been developed for Web surfing and e-mail besides voice calls and they usually have alphabetic keyboards or touch screens. Smart phones are getting an increasing share of cell phones’ sale as prices are moving down and services provider completing their fast data networks.

IDC, however, didn’t show the total number of smart phones that were sold during the quarter. According to Apple, it sold 1.7 million iPhones during the 1st Q and overseas sale is also included in it.

Palm Inc., which is also considered a leading player along with RIM, its market share got down almost 23 percent in the first quarter a year back that apparently due to Apple’s iPhone that was on sale in the end of last June. So, far RIM’s market share is concerned ,it is also down from last year as it sold 48.7 % of smart phones in the U.S. during the 1st Q.
In the most recent quarter Samsung Electronics was on No. 4 in market share with its 8.6% market share that was almost 5.1% up from the 4th Q, this rise considered due to the availability of its BlackJack on Verzion wireless.

While Motorola Corp, which is struggling overall, didn’t do any things worthwhile in smart phone market and dropped to 2.6 % in the first quarter from 7.5% share in the 4th Q.

Did you hear? What? Oh yeah it’s on O2 that announced “iPhone is no longer available in UK”
Yup! You have heard it right! The shiny black pearl is no more among us .But you need not to mourn sooner or later you will have it.

O2, which is Apple’s classified iPhone wireless supplier in the UK announced early Thursday on its website that both 8GB and 16GB models of the iPhone are not available in the country.

Not more than a week ago we heard about Carphone Warehouse‘s announcement that it had ran dry of its 16GB iPhones’ supply. Mind it; Carphone Ware house is the retail partner of the carrier.

Earlier, Carphone Warehouse and O2 had announced that the 8GB iPhone was no more in stock and it would not be put back in the stock as its manufacturing had been ceased.

However, O2 didn’t elaborate this sudden shortage but the pundits of the industry can understand that Apple is trying to pave a smooth way for its coming iPhone and depleting European markets because of this very tactic.

We all knew this would happen sooner or later. But O2 clarified it even before our expectations. But now the question rises that when will we see the Apple’s 3rd Gen black pearl and who will be the carrier this time.

Hopefully this would happen in June, probably by the end of next month. IPhone lovers need not worry as they will get it back by the end of June. Probably the first anniversary day (29th June) would be a perfect date.

A lot of people believe that it’s a policy adopted by Apple to stop the sale right now instead of dealing with those pesky complainers who will buy the iPhone now and come with a complain to replace it with the new iPhone.

Some say it is still available in UK at the Apple’s stores while some others believe these to be some tactics of O2 for better hype and advertisement of the coming iPhone. They say it is just to create a greater demand that will bring more sales on the opening of newer generation 3G iPhone.

Mobile editions of SAP’s business software

According to the announcement of RIMM and SAP on Friday that they are together to make build up mobile editions of SAP’s business software functions that will run on the BlackBerry stand.

CRM application

CRM application will be the first of these Sap’s revelation and it will be joined with e-mail, address book, calendar applications of the Blackberry. According to SAP CRM application will be easily available during the next few months .Saps will reveal it at its Sapphire user meeting in Orlando, Fla., during the next week.

Sense of boredom in the announcement

It is worth mentioning here that access to SAP’s CRM via Blackberry was available even from 2004 as the companies had announced that with the unclear references about long term plans to make different SAP apps for the Blackberry even in 2004.Thats why a sense of boredom is there in that announcement too.

A little bit freshness as well

Still there is some freshness in the announcement as it demonstrates raised level of dedication to offer mobile entrée to SAP from BlackBerrys. And it is also points to many other examples of deeper incorporation among the technologies of the companies.

Integration of technologies

According to SAP this is the need of time and requirement of that partnership to develop and stick to new applications and to work with more dedication and courage as their past was quite glorious regarding integration of technologies.
Our plan is that to design these apps in such a way as the Blackberry users may be able to use them when no other networking exposure is reachable. These applications will be very similar to email service of RIM on the Blackberry.

Access business data

Another question rises in that connection is about the connivance and comfort of the business that will make it their priority to access business data through wireless networks and cell phones.
