The latest netbook from Google is going to be out in 2010 with their fabled “Google phone” with the Nexus One that has been really one of the earliest forms of pocket netbooks. This will be out early in next year. It is going to be giant software with apparently dominating hardware tool.

According to TechCrunch this little gem is going to come to our pockets next year. The PC is going to bring in the netbook while running the company’s Chrome OS. This netbook is going to be powered by an Intel Atom with the new processes. This would be quite interesting with the OS becoming quite available with just the machine. There are multiple sources through which Google got set through the chipset from Nvidia’s Tegra line which gets empowered through ARM CPU.

Google computers seem to bring in about a dead cert with its favored packages and wireless data provisions. It will also be selling through mobile operators in order to bring greater mobile operations as well as bringing power consumption in a lower rate. This machine is being looked forward to with great hope to bring some incredible results in technological advancements.

Size And Weight

Netbooks are relatively smaller in size with a display screen measuring between 7 to 12 inches whereas notebooks have a screen size of 12 to 17 inches. The keyboard of a netbook is also 80% to 90% smaller in size than a notebook’s key board. These are energy efficient small computers, lighter in weight comparing to a notebook; only 2 to 3 pounds.

A netbook can run Windows XP Home and Linux easily, while to run Vista it needs more power. It has been recently announced by Microsoft that it will be coming up with Windows7 for netbooks. Both notebooks and netbooks are portable computers. While looking at the details of specs, it is not difficult to evaluate which is the efficient one.

According to OLPC founder Nicholas Negroponte, the foundation is planning to cut the prices of its laptop from previous $204 to the current $180. According to Negroponte, it is not yet to their desired $100 mark, but he is quite hopeful to reach there soon.

There were rumors about Nvidia’s new plans for stepping into the gorgeous netbook market during 09.

Nvidia’s Vice President, Rene Hass has said in an interview that: “We are considering developing a new platform that can attach to the Atom.”

Earlier it was reported that Nvidia was planning to substitute its well-known three chip design with a new two chip combo of the Atom and 9400M Geforce.”

“When the Geforce 9400M is combined with the Atom, there is, indeed, an interesting platform that makes a nice PC with full functionality,” Hass added.

It is exciting to note that Hass has claimed that the new combination of the Atom and the Geforce 9400M will help developing applications to put full streaming of HD videos workable on some netbook.

“Form factor, lightness and other such things are cool, but people want something that can really boost users’ experience,” Hass stated.

According to Nvidia, people who look for downloading HD video content from iTunes, and similarly those who want to stream videos, who use Photoshop and those who transcode videos.”

AMD states that it prefers to look to machines like the MacBook Air for inspiration instead of griping the field already dominated by tiny PCs like Asus’s Eee PC line-up that has been powered by Intel Atom chips.

AMD’s CEO, Dirk Meyer says: “We are thinking about PC form factors and somewhat ignoring the netbook phenomenon right now.

Meyer’s colleague Bahr Mahony, who is a laptop-specialist, says: “A fairly large number of people are not contended with the experience they have on these mininotebook platforms.”

The recent reports about unsatisfied customers returning netbooks in a large numbers explain about the need to plan ahead and target the market for machines that have appealing prices with a decent level of computing power.

The MacBook Air is a nice example in this connection, as it relied on integrated Intel graphics at first iteration, whereas in the second a significantly powerful Nvidia powerful option was introduced to better serve Apple’s customers.

But, instead of building such boutique-style computers housing new AMD chips, sellers like to have a non-Intel route to target the middle ground at a price quite comparable to the pricy of the netbooks.

The PC maker is feeling somewhat superior after it’s over £100m profit for Q3 financial results.

During the last three months, Acer has sold more than two million nebooks worldwide and its Aspire is the best seller among the range. The company is looking forward to grow further.

These nice results have prompted the company to predict that it will sell 50% more netbooks next year that would make the sale of around 15 million units.

Acer President, JT Wang says that the company’s netbook shipments are likely to increase by up to 35 percent to meet the demand.

So, we have to wait and see how far Acer succeed to achieve its target, chances are bright or not, only time will tell, but ‘change’ has come: for good or for bad? Again time will tell.

An interesting thing that leaked out from Mini Inspirion technical specs was that the customers would be free to choose between an open source Ubuntu version and Windows XP-based version.

Graham Morrison, who is Linux Format reviewer, says in this connection, “At the recent Linux World event, we have known about the company behind Ubuntu. It indirectly referred to a big announcement that tied Ubuntu to the coming netbook and we have been waiting for that news for quite long time.”

Morrison further adds, “The interesting part of the story is that the version of Ubuntu with the Dell machines will be the new ‘Netbook Remix’ edition.”

“This new version of Ubuntu is the best for the Atom processor and it has a new big-button interface very similar to those found in the Aspire One and EeePc.”

“The coming Dell machine would provide us an opportunity to note what Canonical has been doing during all summer, and it would certainly cast a considerable impact on the netbook market.”

Let see when Dell’s confirms the coming Eee killer, of course, the matter has become quite interesting.
