PS3 upgraded firmware arriving tomorrow

Sony Computer Entertainment has upgraded the v2.60 firmware for the PS3 that is due tomorrow.

A blurb on the US PlayStation blog explains that an updated v2.60firmware with loads of new features will soon be made available.

This new upgrade is replete with some boasting features, but its new Photo Gallery (A 100MB downloadable application) is being considered its main feature. This new application offers some nice tools to organize and view images in a nice way.

PS3 sales are 30% more than expected, Sony’s CEO says

ps3psp435345634.pngSony is quite habitual to keep talking about its games consoles and we know well why, as the business of selling gaming hardware depends a lot on projecting confidence and inspiring gamers to invest in a specific platform.

Though there was news that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 had outclassed the PS3 in the major battle ground of Japanese market, Jack Tretton from Sony said that PSP sales were way ahead of target.

160GB! A massive hard drive boost for PS3

Yeah! It’s, indeed, surprising. Not even a month has passed when Sony announced its 80GB version of the PlayStation 3 and now there is a console with a 160GB hard drive. Surprising, but Sony is quite habitual to give surprises that’s why no wonder.

The new PS3 will be available with DualShock 3 controller as well as the historical adventure game Drake’s Adventure. The new PS3 has been scheduled to arrive in US during November this year and it will set you back in $499
