Samsung takes the cake with the advanced touchscreen which it has developed using the TouchWiz interface which is unique to Samsung. The touchscreen has several advanced features which includes certain Widgets which are specially designed so as to let users personalize them and adapt them according to their phone.

All the social networking websites like Facebook are accessible due to the phone’ s browser which is a full HTML enabled browser. There is mobile IM along with email facilities. The camera is a 3 mega pixel one and comes with a camcorder.

The Bluetooth comes with a stereo facility along with a speakerphone.  The Caliber has the MetroPCS applications too. Other than these features the phone has a video and music player which is built in to the phone. The memory is expandable up to 16 GB using an external microSD.

According to a report published in the Philippine Business Mirror says that Acer has confirmed that its Android-powered handset will be available this year.

The handset is expected to feature a touchscreen and it will be one of E1, F1, L1 and C1 handsets that have been announced last month. It seems to fit nicely in the roadmap that Acer has already provided in a recent event.

Philippine Business Mirror refused to name their source and that’s why one needs to take these rumors something more than just a rumor. But recently, Acer has refused to exclude Android in a previous event.

When used as an e-book reader, it is to be held like an opened book, both screens showing the pages, exactly like a hard cover book. Mere gestures of the user flip pages, making it none less than a real book reading experience!

Also, the device can be used a multimedia hub, where both the screens can be combined and joined together to enjoy wider and better display. Thus, the new Dual Touch screen Flipbook PC by Asus provides its users with a wide range of functionality.

Though, the new technical gadget lacks an option of connecting to a keyboard, its other qualities over shadow this discrepancy.

The speculation didn’t cause much surprise as Sony Ericsson is one of the mobile makers considered to have a high-end touchscreen phone ‘under process’.

But you must note that these rumors are consisted of somewhat more than basic specs and have some spy pictures( though it may prove nothing more than fiction) at present as well.
