Google IT-corporation announced plans to create an initiative Privacy Sandbox for Android. Its goal is to introduce new advertising solutions with improved protection of user privacy. In particular, they will function without identifiers for different applications, including the advertising identifier, as well as limit the amount of user data sent to third parties. According to the company, they are also studying the issues of reducing the risks of hidden data collection and the use of more secure methods of integrating applications with advertising SDK (Software development kit, a software development kit - a comment from Sostav).

Privacy Sandbox for Android is a logical extension of the existing program, which aims to find ways to improve user privacy without compromising the provision of free content and services, the company said.

Users will be able to rest assured that they are not constantly being tracked, and developers and advertisers will be left with the tools they need to succeed on mobile platforms. While new solutions are being developed and tested, support for existing mobile advertising mechanisms will be in place for at least two years, the company assured.

Developers can already get acquainted with the first design solutions of Google and leave their feedback. This year, the corporation plans to release a preliminary version for developers and the beta version of the project.

Also Google intends to cooperate with regulators, so has made a public commitment to the initiative Privacy Sandbox on the Internet.

Google introduced the Privacy Sandbox initiative in August 2019. At the time, the company said its goal was to create a set of open standards to ensure the protection of users' personal data online. The initiative is developing alternatives to cookies - Topics, Fledge and others.
