Mobile GeForce MX550 is roughly equal to the integrated graphics Ryzen 9 5900HS in the PassMark test
In the PassMark synthetic test database there is information about the performance of the new entry-level mobile graphics card GeForce MX550. NVIDIA presented this gas pedal back in December, promising its appearance in laptops this spring. The company did not provide any information about its performance level.
The record of the test was found by the Internet detective Tum_Apisak. At this point, not all technical specifications of GeForce MX550 are known. The card is built on the graphics chip TU117 generation Turing and equipped with 2 GB of video memory standard GDDR6. It does not have support for NVIDIA DLSS and RTX technologies, but does offer Resizable BAR and Optimus support (not the latest version). The card will be used in thin and compact laptops and does not claim to be a gaming card.
According to PassMark, GeForce MX550 performance is on par with Vega 8 integrated graphics of AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS mobile processor. If the latter scores 4968 points in the specified graphics test, the GeForce MX550 shows a result of only 0.9% more - 5014 points.
Against the mobile Radeon RX 5500M the GeForce MX550 scores 26% more points. However, in comparison with the mobile GeForce GTX 1650 it loses noticeably.
