The latest version of home theatre in a box (HTiB) system has been unveiled by Panasonic. This is the first unit of its kind which has an integrated Blu-ray player. It is expected that the unit will be released in late spring and the price will be around $999.95


The new SC-BT100 is very supportive to the iPod, a charging port and the facility to play music as well as video from the device, putting audio tracks and menu lists on a TV screen and additionally iPods can also be controlled through the given remote. Besides, there is an integrated SD card slot that allows video playback and digital image through memory cards.

The system can be upgraded from wireless full 7.1 sounds and getting possible side speakers and combined radio transmitter and receiver. Linear PCM, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution, Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital have also been included in the receiver. To give more bass and to reduce the voice, a Kelton subwoofer has been also included in the unit.



DMP-BD50, the third generation of Blu-ray player has also been announced by Panasonic and it will be available for $699.95 during spring this year.
