Virgin Galactic has already confirmed that they are seriously considering three launch sites in Britain which includes the Lossiemouth in Moray, Machrihanish in Argyll and a lone airbase in the south-western England. With these major spots, the competition is believed to be heating up.
On the other hand, the SNP is eager that it be a Scottish destination that achieves the reputation of becoming the earliest spaceport.
He also added that since other countries would also like to be in the front, he would want to see Moray as the front runner in the race.
These flights would have tremendous potential and the port would also launch satellites into the orbit as well as offering touring flights into the earth orbit.
Virgin Galactic’s suggestion to present sub-orbital space flights to the paying common community has acquired enormous hype, in the midst of orbital flights also on the timeline.
Angus Robertson also added that such a proposal from Galactic is an inspirational opportunity that would bring technological investment, tourism, job, and scientific as well as educational opportunities.
