Sony Ericsson’s 12MP Camera Mobile- The First of Its Kind

sony-ericsson-logoSamsung has come up with its new Idou touch screen powered handset with a 12 mega pixel camera; the first of its kind in the world. The idea phone has been shown at Mobile World Congress with little specs details at hand.

The pictures of the new handset are wide spread, coming with a wide touch screen display of 3.5in 640 x 320 pixels 16:9. Its touch screen display is called as ‘intuitive touch features’ by Sony Ericsson.

The camera comes with Xeon Flash without any CyberShot. Sony Ericsson’s 12.1MP camera mobile set is powered with Symbian Foundation Operating System.

It is told that it will integrate the best CyberShot and Walkman ranges, DLNA compatible WiFi and GPS receivers.

Regarding the new feature of 12 mega pixels, which is supposed to be its basic marketing feature, for many, holds a negative impression. It is said that more pixels will hurt the picture quality instead of improving it. With the expected launch in 2009 in the second half before the start of the summer”., the price details are not known too.

The other mobile set that SE has unleashed at the Mobile World Congress is Entertainment Unlimited, targeted towards entertainment: “unite and broaden entertainment experiences”. Lennard Hoornik, head of global marketing, Sony Ericsson said, “Entertainment Unlimited lets us reinforce our position as the communication entertainment brand.”

Entertainment Limited is integrated with entertainment tools such as Java games, messaging, unifying the brands of Walkman and CyberShot imaging providing fun experience, keeping applications and services in line with each other.

It is regarded by the manufacturer as a best device to integrate between devices on a home network.
Hoonikr is quite hopeful and cherishes the fame SE presently enjoys. He further added, “Everything that we have done to date has brought us to this point.”
