President of Sony Electronics, Stan Glasgow says that his company is putting focus on bringing larger OLED screens to televisions instead of following the footsteps of other rival companies that offering this technology to mobiles as well.

He explained that the company was concentrating to produce TV screens with OLED not the mobiles or other types of displays.

Glasgow says that he still believes the OLED TV screens have a valid place aside from plasma and LCD screens that are quite popular and adoring walls in many parts of the world.

“The company is working very hard to arrive at the next generation of screen sizes, as it is expected to be an energy-saving product with highly strong performance.”

Massive R&D efforts have been made for OLED and making big is not as easy as to make small. OLED is being frequently discussed within the company as well as with other manufacturers too,” he added.
