The GeForce RTX 3050 desktop is scheduled for release in the second quarter of next year

The web resource VideoCardz shared the latest information about the GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The release of this model will be held in the second quarter of 2022, in other words, about a year after the release of mobile counterparts. At the core of new items will be a scaled-down version of the chip Nvidia GA106, familiar from GeForce RTX 3060.

 

 

Videocard GeForce RTX 3050 was assigned identifier PG190 SKU 70, and its heart will be the graphics processor GA106-150 in a configuration with 3072 cores CUDA. Initially, it was thought that this GPU will be used in the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, but any details about the Ti-version of the device the source does not lead. The amount of video buffer GeForce RTX 3050 should be 8 GB.

 

As for the level of performance, the GeForce RTX 3050 will be located between the GeForce GTX 1660 Super and GeForce RTX 2060 12GB. The closest rival from AMD will be Radeon RX 6500 XT, and Intel will counter it with a graphics card based on DG2-128EU. All three novelties are designed for 1080p gaming with a focus on eSports disciplines.

Nvidia plans for the foreseeable future includes the release of models GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3080 12GB and RTX 3070 Ti 16GB. The official debut of new graphics cards will be held at the beginning of next year.
